Groundworks Warwickshire
Prestige Groundworks Warwickshire ‘s experience in preservation works and expertise in working with local materials was a decisive factor in their winning the contract to build a new visitor’s centre and maintenance building at Compton Verney.
Restoration of this previously derelict heritage site was begun in the 1980s and the result is a prestigious independent national art gallery housed in the Grade 1 listed Georgian mansion of mediaeval origins surrounded by 120 acres of Grade II listed classical parkland, designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.
A Prestige spokesperson said, “we are pleased to be working with an organisation which shares our values of excellence and environmental sustainability. Compton Verney is a unique cultural attraction which inspires and engages its visitors in a truly creative merging of art, architecture and landscape.”
